Houses of Change: Norwalk’s Early Victorian Period
Last year’s tour documented changes to Norwalk’s surviving factory buildings as they were adapted for reuse. This year’s tour will also explore architectural adaptation and change, in and around Norwalk’s early Victorian (ca. 1860 to 1880) houses and neighborhoods.

25 South Main Street
We are in the midst of a fight to prevent the demolition of two historic buildings in the South Main and Washington Street Historic District; 25 South Main Street (the McMahon Building) and 31-35 South Main Street (the Udelman Building) for the construction of a proposed new hotel.
